ChartWorld is a leading provider of digital electronic charts for marine applications and has been delivering digital data since 2002. At Spear Maritime Academy, we offer specialized training for ChartWorld's ECDIS systems to ensure that maritime professionals can utilize these advanced tools effectively.
1. ChartWorld eGlobe G2 Training
The ChartWorld eGlobe G2 training is a guided tutorial lasting approximately 16 hours. This course is designed to cover the equipment familiarization requirements as per IMO Model Course 1.27 and MCA MIN-503(M). Participants will learn the essential functions and controls of the eGlobe G2 ECDIS, including:- Equipment overview and setup
- Navigational functions and controls
- Route planning and monitoring
- Safety and alert systems
2. ChartBrowser Training
Our ChartBrowser course provides officers with in-depth knowledge of ChartWorld’s digital chart application. This training focuses on:- Efficient chart selection and management
- Automatic routing features
- Finding and collecting various chart products for a calculated route
- Managing existing chart inventories
- Ordering chart products either directly from ChartWorld or through an agent
Participants will gain practical skills in using ChartBrowser to streamline chart-related tasks and enhance navigational efficiency.
